A major in religion requires a minimum of 12 courses (36 credits) in the field, of which at least seven (21 credits) must be at the 300 or 400 level.
· A maximum of five terms (15 credits) of courses numbered below 300 may be counted toward the major.
· 211, 212, and a 400-level seminar must be taken by all majors.
· A major must maintain an average grade of "C" or better in all courses used to fulfill the major.
· With prior approval of the department, up to two religion-related courses (6 credits) offered by other departments (Cognate Courses) may be credited toward the major.
